Red and white lattice tower beside Shiba Park in Minato
JPY 1,500
Main Deck tickets are sold online and at the Foot Town counter, one entry only; the Top Deck Tour runs on timed slots.
Is it free? No, the decks require a paid ticket. Viewing the tower from Shiba Park or the streets around it is free.
As of Oct 2026 · Last entry: 10:30 PM
Weekday mornings tend to be quieter; the tower is lit in the evening, so night visits show the city lights.
You can enter only once, so see everything first; the Top Deck Tour is booked separately on its own site.
Start at the Main Deck, a ring of windows on split levels with a glass floor section for looking straight down. Look for Zojo-ji temple, the Rainbow Bridge and the bay. For more height, the Top Deck Tour climbs to an upper level with a mirrored, futuristic design and a guided route. Back at the base, Foot Town has shops and food.
In Minato beside Shiba Park and Zojo-ji temple, within walking distance of Roppongi.
Step-free accessVenue says wheelchair users are guided step-free from the entrance to the Main Deck elevators; the elevator arrives at Main Deck 2F, and reaching 1F needs staff help. Accessible toilets on Main Deck 2F; 5 loan wheelchairs, first come first served (reservation advised by phone 03-3433-5111). The page does not describe step-free access for the Top Deck Tour (NOT_STATED); the FAQ notes there are stairs along the route and the only stairs named are the Top Deck Tour exit stairs on Main Deck 2F.
Tickets are sold online or at the counter on the ground floor of Foot Town, and each ticket allows one entry only, as of Oct 2026. The Top Deck Tour is booked separately for a timed slot. The Book box on this page shows partner tickets and current prices.
On a Monday the Main Deck is usually open 9:00 AM–11:00 PM, with last entry 10:30 PM, as of Oct 2026. Last entry can move earlier on crowded days. The tower is lit after dark, so a later visit gives city lights from above as well.
A lift rises to the Main Deck, and a stairway is also offered for those who prefer to climb. The higher Top Deck is reached on a separate guided tour, which may not run in bad weather. From both levels the city spreads out in every direction.
In our plans: Day 3, “Tokyo Tower & Tokyo City View”. The tower rises beside Shiba Park in the Minato area of central Tokyo, so it pairs easily with nearby sights. The map on this page shows the park, the tower and the nearest stations.
