Two days in Florence add the far bank of the Arno to the cathedral and the Uffizi. The second day begins with the view from Piazzale Michelangelo and San Miniato al Monte, visits the Galileo Museum and the Vasari Corridor, and ends in the Boboli Gardens and Palazzo Pitti. It works well for travellers who want art and open space in one weekend.

Quick answers to common questions.
The first day covers the Duomo, the Baptistery, the Uffizi Gallery and Palazzo Vecchio. The second day crosses the Arno to Piazzale Michelangelo and San Miniato al Monte, then takes in the Galileo Museum, the Vasari Corridor, the Boboli Gardens and Palazzo Pitti.
Two days cover the centre and the south bank at a steady pace. They leave out the Galleria dell'Accademia, the Medici Chapels and Santa Croce, which the three-day and longer plans add.
Give one day to the centre and the other to the south bank. Palazzo Pitti usually takes 120 to 180 minutes and the Boboli Gardens 90 to 150 minutes, so the second day has room for the view from Piazzale Michelangelo in the morning and little else. As of 1 Nov 2026.
