The route moves at a steady pace, floor by floor, from the main rooms up to the roof.
The first entries of the morning are usually less crowded, and a winter weekday is often calmer than summer.
Arrive close to your slot: early entry is not allowed and the window after it is short.
The noble floor, once the Batlló family's home, has swirling ceilings, carved wooden doors and windows looking onto the avenue. The central light well is lined with tiles that shade from deep blue at the top to pale at the bottom, spreading the daylight evenly. Higher up, the white arched loft leads to the roof terrace, with its scaled ridge and colourful chimneys. Digital displays add sound and light.
On Passeig de Gràcia in the Eixample, a few blocks up from Plaça de Catalunya; metro trains stop steps away.
Step-free accessThe operator says wheelchair users can visit all areas of the house, which has two lifts with priority for people who need them.
Entry is for a selected time slot, not before it and only shortly after it, and the box office sells just the General Visit, with other experiences online only, as of Oct 2026. Partner tickets and current prices are shown in the Book box on this page.
For the General Visit, the house is usually open 9:00 AM–7:15 PM, every day of the year, as of Oct 2026. Early and evening sessions are sold separately online. Entry is within a short window after your selected slot, and the box office sells only the General Visit.
Many visitors allow about 60–90 min. The route climbs floor by floor from the main rooms to the roof, with an audio guide along the way. The blue-tiled light well, the attic and the roof terrace each invite a pause along the route.
Curved doors and windows, a light well tiled in shades of blue and a main floor overlooking Passeig de Gràcia lead up to a roof with a scaled, dragon-like ridge. Gaudí shaped almost every surface after forms from nature. Augmented-reality content is offered on the way.
